L'Instant de Guerlain Eau de Parfum

this is my mom's favourite perfume, i love it too it's a nice light, floral scent. great to where for everyday use or for a fancy occasion. it's long lasting too

timeless

Smells so unique and classic. The size is perfect too. This is perfume that will accompany you throughout your life even if some fragrances come and go. It's not too sweet. Just perfect.

Changes over time!

When I first bought this perfume as a blind buy, I was disappointed because it smelled slightly of clay on me. I really wanted it to work though and wore it at home when I could --- I think after a week or two, it started to lose the clay-like scent. Now, I absolutely love the scent! It starts off a little strong (almost unisex I would say?) but develops over the span of minutes into a warm, kind of gourmand/floral scent on me. It's soooo good and unique!

Just... wow. I have never worn something so nuanced and pretty. Literally, 5 minutes after wearing this I had a lady stop me and ask what I was wearing because I smelled amazing. It's a delicate floral smell that is not cloying. The magnolia is what I smell the most

First, thank you to the review writers for exceptional description. I love Guerlain and bought this based on your reviews. It took a few times of wearing this to fall in love with what I think of as a deep south heaven. I have been complimented on it several times. It's a subtle yet spectacular magnolia blossom and honey, earthy scent. I can't compare it to any other parfum. Very nice.

Wow it's available!

I've been wearing this scent sparingly, assuming it had long been discontinued. What a very pleasant surprise to see it on the Sephora website! I would describe this as a warm and sensual fragrance. It is also quite feminine and so appropriate for the fall/winter months. It's an old fav. And now after my next fragrance purchase (which will be Hermes L'Ambre des Merveilles) I will restock on this.

exceptional fragrance

I thought Sephora didn't carry this as noted in one of my other reviews, but pleased to find out that they do! I LOVE this incredible and distinctive scent. It smells unique, with complex notes that last forever. I combine it with the body cream for a night out, and a small amount lasts a long time! It does bring out that Guerlinade that Guerlain scents were known to bring out in the olfactory sense. The Eau de Parfum is excellent, and I use the actual parfum Extract only on special occasions. When I wear Guerlain, I have always had women AND men compliment me. Some say there is something in it that attracts people - I think it's that Guerlinade. The only one better than this is Champs - Élysées - now that one is a magnet!!!

Fresh, Light, Floral, Organic, Honey

I recently bought a bottle of L'Instant and it strikes me as a very light, natural floral honey scent. The main notes I pick up on are Magnolia and honey. The honey isn't a gourmand honey, but an organic almost earthy honey. I can't really pick up on any citrus when I spray it on my skin. It reminds me of walking through greenhouse full of fresh, fragrant flowers on a warm, slightly humid day. It also reminds me of an old essential oils blend I used to use to promote relaxation. It reminds me a little of lavender. For that reason alone, it's not my favorite perfume, but it isn't unpleasant. It smells very natural and organic. On me it wears close to the skin--very mild sillage, but good longevity.

Ordered this based on it's description and I am so in love with it!! It is light in a sense of being powder like, yet strong without overpowering. It is reminiscent of the past, alluring, daring one to come closer to breath in, truly one of a kind. Not for a 1 in a million girl, but for a once in a lifetime woman.

The scent is amazing (my signature in fact), but the bottle and especially the cap is made of the cheapest plastic. Which is unpleasant considering it's ~$77.00/1oz.

Not impressed

I was not impressed at all with this perfume. The scent has an after note that reminds me of clay. This was a giant waist of money.
