Shadows need building up for dark skin

I was initially drawn to purchase this palette for the color story. I love rosy-brown tones and bought this as a birthday gift for myself. I was disappointed. Many of the shades need a LOT of building up to show up on my deeper skin tone (which isn't that deep-I'm around Nars Cadiz), and the staying power is just not there, even when used with an eye primer.

Blends like butter

Everything isn't for everyone, but most makeup is designed for fair skin. This is inclusive to tan/dark makeup wearers but that doesn't mean it deserves low ratings

This one was a no for me

Great quality shadows as always from NARS but I wasn't particularly crazy of the color story. It is very dark and there are not any pale shades to soften. Probably would be better suited for darker skin tones. I'm very fair skinned and it just looked dark and muddy on me. All the colors are very similar in tone which doesn't allow for much options. Gave to my light toned (darker than me) niece and she wasn't crazy over the colors on her either.
