I have been using this mascara for years. It’s one of the best. It goes on extremely smoothly. Given I have long eyelashes it’s absolutely perfect for them. The brush is the most important and YSL with this one is spot on. Thank you for many years of lush lashes.

Not the same as it used to be

I’ve used this product for 20 years. The formula now has changed. It’s clumpy and doesn’t wash off easily (as it did before) the wand becomes full so you can’t even see the brush. Whatever has changed has made a great product into a terrible one. Sadly I will now have to find an alternative make, which is a shame after so many years. It’s not cheap but because it used to be so good it was worth paying the extra for. YSL whatever you have done please revert back to the original formula.

Very disappointing changes to faux cils mascara

I have been using YSL faux cils mascara for over twenty years in purple. It was a quality and high- pigment effect product. For the last year or so, the quality and nature of the product has changed considerably and for the worst. The mascara itself is too thickly stiff with no fluidly on application giving a stiff effect once on the lashes. As they have discontinued the purple shade, I’ve tried both blue and brown and the colour quality of both is very poor. Once applied, the product almost bonds to the lashes making it extremely difficult to remove to the point of eye irritation. Clearly, YSL has changed the formula and in the process they have destroyed what was an iconic product. This is a very disappointing development, very shortsighted and I imagine a development that will impact on sales.

Love YSL mascaras. Great colour choices. Especially the blues. Softer than using blacks on dark eyes.

Love this product, although was expecting a more prominent shade of brown! Still love it as a mascara though

Leaves a lot to be desired

I've been buying this mascara for at least 10 years, in purple. This is the fist time I've got it in blue and I'm not satisfied. While the color is ok, the sheer amount that comes out on the wand cakes my lashes. Brushing it off with the same wand makes it worse, so unless you have a second, clean wand, you need to use your fingers which just makes a mess. When the mascara dries, it crumbles, so all day I need to keep removing small bits from under my eyes. Despite constant crumbling, the mascara is difficult to remove in the evenings, even though it's not waterproof. I don't know if it's the colour that makes it behave differently from the purple or is it just the way things are these days, prices increasing, quality decreasing. I won't be buying this mascara in blue again, I'll give purple another chance and hope it's not gone to the dogs as well.

Beautiful Lashes

My Daughter has been using this make of Mascara for year and although she's tried others this is the only one that gives her the thick lashes she want and doesn't cause any irritation
