will never use anything else

Loyal user for many years. No need to mention the cost in your reviews, fellow Sephorites-we all know it’s expensive. No need to mention the texture in your reviews, fellow Sephorites-if you read the product description, it clearly states the cream is dense and needs to be warmed up on your fingertips before using. Me? I use this nightly on top of my retinol and wake up with lovely, plump, moisturized skin. A must have for dry (maybe more mature) skin. Granted, it may not be for everyone but I won’t use anything else.

Bogus Creme

This product is the biggest scam. The creme is way to heavy and it's poor quality. La Mer tells you to rub it between your fingers until it turns clear but it never does. They are just trying to trick you into wasting product on your hands. This company is owned by the Estee Lauder who has a history of false advertising and promotions. You can find a better creme at the drugstore where they will also treat you better than La Mer.

Cremedelamer may be for many, I ain't one of them

I have been reading about La mer for more than a decade and I kept dreaming of when I will be able to afford it. Then the time came. I was only able to afford the mini though but I felt so excited nevertheless, it was like a dream come true. I started with lamer soft cream, ( i had read some reviews about the original creme de la mer being too thick) and yes within 1 week, I felt and saw the difference in my skin plump and glow, this healthy looking relaxed skin.I was bought! And ready to stick to the brand for life. But because it was the mini size, it didn't last me for more than 3 weeks. I decided to repurchase but this time, the original creme de la mer thinking because it is thicker, it will last longer. I was right on it lasting longer. But as per the effect on my skin-Horrible!!! To say the least. No matter how much I warm it up with my fingers as described and shown in the video, this stuff won't get absorbed into my face skin. It just sits on my skin, with an ugly and sickly looking white cast like I am using a sunscreen or a foundation of lighter shade. Having read thousands of good reviews about this product, I thought things will change with time plus considering the hard earned money i used to buy it.After about a week, my face started breaking out in an unusual manner. The break outs seem to be beneath my skin like with a veil...funny right. My skin became the dullest I have ever seen it. No radiance, no glow, just total dullness that makes me sad when I look at my face in the mirror. I won't ever be buying creme de lamer again. Never. Maybe the soft cream in the future. Thank God I started with that. But I need to get over the waste of hard earned money, the disappointment as well as the terribly DULL face. I have learned a lesson though. Reviews are not a reliable guide to choosing to buy a skin care product! Thank you.

Glorified Vaseline Marketed as a Moisturizer

I'm so glad I tried a sample before splurging on a full size! It felt like applying a thin layer of Vaseline to my face and did not get absorbed into my skin at all, the way I would expect a moisturizer to. I checked the ingredients list and lo and behold, the third most prevalent ingredient is petrolatum. After an hour, I started getting red bumps on my face. I can't believe this is so expensive and overhyped.

La Mer cream

The original LaMer cream moisturizer is my go to in winter, or anytime my skin is too dry or needy. It has healing properties that are amazing to me. It's really hard to top this, if you want young looking skin.

Testers' review

don't be fooled by the hype. they use very good advertising. I have used many moisturizers and this one makes my face itchy and I started getting pimples and I never get acne. not for sensitive skin. they just want to make alot of money from you from a mediocre product. might as well just use aveeno if your going to buy this.

My one and only now.

This is so amazing. It never fails me. It is definitely worth the cost. Some say it is like Nivea cream. I assure you it's not! Nivea does not contain all of these extra benefits!

The notorious “Miracle Broth” certainly lives up to its name. This product is ultra compatible with my skin. it tames my rebellious skin. It keeps it smooth, radiant and youthful looking. I feel more confident when I have this product on.

I didn’t want to love it… but I absolutely do!

I didn’t want to love this product but it truly is a holy grail. I have sensitive acne prone skin and larger pores. After feeling how thick and heavy this cream was I worried it wouldn’t be right for my skin. So far I’ve repurchased twice because of how smooth and glowy my skin has become.

It’s a necessity for my sensitive skin

Yes it’s expensive-it works for me and I have decided it’s worth it. Yes, it has fragrance in it. It smells like old school rich lady cold cream. I don’t mind it and don’t get any irritation from it. In fact, I have broken out from a lot of‘fragrance-free’ products because often they mask the scent. Anyways-you MIST apply this the correct way! You warm it up on your hands and press it into your skin gently. Warming it up allows the algae spheres to disperse and work their ‘magic’. Pls be kind to this tried and true classic.

HERITAGE OF HEALING

The story of Crème de La Mer is one of hope, healing and one man’s deep respect for the power of the living sea.

Years ago, aerospace physicist Dr. Max Huber was burned in a laboratory accident and went on a crusade to create a treatment potent enough to restore his skin. What began as one man’s journey to heal himself became a transformative experience that would be whispered about all over the world.
