Great for one-offs,but not for daily use...
Face Base immediately adds moister to the skin and gives it a healthy glow which makes it great as a base under makeup (which is what it was intended for). The texture has a butter feel - and I dont mean "buttery" , I actually mean the texture of butter. Same texture as the CT magic cream or le mer. It makes sense why a lot of makeup artists use this for that purpose. The issues I had was that it didnt always play nice with my other products, specifically dropper serums. I have no acne and my skin would get little bumps after a few days of use which I assume is due to the added fragrance. I would 100% recommend this to use in a pinch if your skin was dry and you needed serious hydration before a special day wearing makeup or a photo shoot etc. To me this would not be a persons "go to" daily cream. Although it adds immediate moisture to the skin, it lacks additives that would benefit it in the long term and actually has a few that hinder it - especially if acne prone.

3 Stars (only because of the terrible smell)
I like the way this works on my skin. I use very little, let it sink in a minute, and I get a nice matte base for my next steps. I was looking for a base product with skincare built in, and this totally works. My skin is very acne-prone with regular breakouts and moderate oiliness. This base feels good all day and doesn't clog my pores. 3 stars because why the fragrance?? I am SURE nobody asked for this. Whose decision was it to take a perfectly fine product and make it smell terrible? Luckily my makeup covers up the smell, but for the price, they can absolutely do better. If you're sensitive to fragrance, run.
