Dried my hair out

It made my hair feel really dried out and faded my color.

DO NOT BUY THIS!!!

Less than a year ago, I had long, thick, beautiful hair and now I have short, broken and thin hair because of this. I started reading about it and so many other people had the same thing happen. I'm so upset that I switched from my perfectly good Kenra clarifying shampoo to this toxic junk. Please do not buy this. It is complete trash.

this product shouldn't be on the market

used a sample & found it clarifying for my gray hair. seemd to work better than purple products too. so, I bought a full size in Nov-2023 and used it once every 7-10 days. it irritated my scalp somewhat at first, but I ignored that, assuming I was just feeling the "deep clean" promised by the product. then, my hair started to thin & fall out! I reduced usage to every two weeks, again assuming it was simply harsh because of that "deep clean." the scalp irritation (flakes, bumps, redness) got worse, and I stopped using it. I just learned about this lawsuit filed against Olaplex in **2023** for hair loss, dermatitis, and infertility. their products contain a chemical banned by the EU and two other ingredients known to combine into a cancer-causing compound. the dermatitis, hair damage, and hair loss described by the plaintiffs align with my experience. more info: https://www.forbes.com/advisor/legal/product-liability/olaplex-lawsuit/ this product shouldn't be on the market.

Worst shampoo ever!!!

This is the worst shampoo I’ve ever had,it caused my hair to fall off the first time I used it,I’m sorry I bought it.

Helped my scalp so much! Really makes a difference in the absorption of my other products i use after clarifying. Has a great lather and not too overly drying

Best clarifying shampoo, hands down

Outstanding clarifying shampoo! I was using the Amika one before and loved the menthol and how clean it made my scalp feel, but the Olaplex blows it out of the water. I get tons of scalp buildup and it leaves it squeaky clean without drying my hair out. And I notice any conditioning or treatments I do afterwards sink in faster and more thoroughly. I love the way the gel creates such a fine microfoam that really works into the hair.

Yes but not for colored hair

Great clarifying shampoo! It is awesome for the scalp and getting rid of buildup. However it’s not color safe at all for vivids. But I’m glad I kept it because it’s helping me fade a botched dye job…

I love Olaplex products so I was excited to try this but it was horrible. I’ve used it several times and every time it makes my hair feel dirtier than before.

Avoid if you have blonde extensions

I really wanted to like this product but unfortunately it stripped the colour from my blonde hair extensions. I have ashy/cool toned blonde extensions & this turned my hair very warm/orange which was really disappointing because I struggled to change the colour back after this. I’m sure the product works well for others but if you have extensions, maybe think twice before buying.

Little to no change

I've been testing this product out on my scalp for the last 3 weeks. My hair is mid-length and quite thin, usually needing to be washed after a couple of days due to a really oily scalp. While it works great as a shampoo, my hair feels healthy and clean, I've noticed no improvement on my oily scalp and still need a hair wash after 2 days. Not really worth the price tag in this instance.

Itchy Scalp

I’ve been using this once every two weeks for 6 months. It lathers great and made my hair feel so clean. Didn’t seem to over strip my hair of oil and shine, but it makes my scalp so itchy. todiscontinue using it

I love this shampoo. I needed to make sure and tried out Ouai, and cannot wait to run out and go back to using this. My hair always felt so clean after washing it and my scalp was in much better condition. I had mild dandruff and build up that seemed to go away entirely with Olaplex.
