Helios™ Hair Dryer - Black

Was good until it wasn’t.

I’ve been using this hair dryer for the last year and a half and the rubber on the cord ripped. I’ve never had this happen in any other hair dryer. Very disappointed that I can no longer use it due to a fire hazard. I’ve had much less expensive hair dryers last much longer than this.

AmazIng my hair dries much quicker! I found it quieter than my previous Conair hair dryer too!

Great Choice

Very happy with this dryer so far. I have thicker, kinky/curly hair. It dries it quickly and is powerful. I’m very happy with the choice so far. I already have a T3 that I’m also happy with. I find myself using this one more because it’s really powerful and fast. I have to do a comparison to see if one makes my hair stay straighter or not. Also, have to wait to see if it’s damaging or not. I have it about a month or two now. So far, it seems fine. It’s very humid where I live. I’d definitely buy this again and recommend

Attachment falls off easily but great dryer!

Love this dryer! My only complaint is that the attachment does not stay on properly. One tap on anything and it falls off. When I’m using it and I’m picking up and putting the dryer down and it’s constantly falling off, it gets a bit frustrating. Especially when it’s super hot! That is my biggest complaint. Other than that, I love the color and it’s a great dryer. Just wish the attachment would stay on.

Great dryer - not for fine hair

I wanted to love this hair dryer but I returned it. I’m giving it five stars because it is an excellent hair dryer but unfortunately it’s way too strong for my fine hair. I have long fine hair and this dryer completely tangled and knotted my hair. I used it daily for two weeks to really give it a chance and found no improvement over time. I’m very experienced with a hair dryer and use a round brush to straighten my hair daily. I’ve used the T3 for about 10 years now and thought I would give this one a try when my T3 died because I heard such good things about it. If you have fine hair I would advise you to be cautious of this one, just not the best for me.

Fast and amazing blow dryer! Concentrator stays put and doesn’t spin around. Can get away with not having to flat iron afterward. I have thick and curly hair and this dryer did an awesome job in minimal drying time! Love it!!

I returned this item. It did a decent job and 100% dried my hair very fast but honestly I did not find the results to be anything special and it wasn't as smooth as my T3 .I also found my t3 held curls better. cannot explain why ... I found the t3 at costco for 88$ so i went for that instead. Most of the reviews of this blow dryer on sephora were sent the product free by the company as they admit so of course they gave it 5 stars. I love GHD and have been VERY HAPPY with my straightener from them but this was a miss for me. If you charge top dollar you got to deliver top results.

I previously had a Drybar Buttercup which I loved. After my trusty Buttercup dying on me after six years, I was considering getting the Drybar Reserve but it was sold out and I couldn't find many reviews online. I'm so glad I ended up getting the GHD Helios. It's not as hot as the Buttercup would get, but there's so much power in this thing and the less heat causes less damage to my fine hair. I was a little concerned about some reviewers saying that the GHD Helios wasn't great for adding volume and made their hair too flat. While the GHD certainly is amazing for smoothing, I think many of the people who complained about lack of volume may very well not be drying their with the right technique or brush. I highly recommend this!

Game changer

After almost 10 years with a cheaper hairdryer, I realized that's what was damaging my hair, so I splurged for an upgrade. Should've done it sooner! I can't believe the difference. This blowdries my hair smooth in only a few minutes. The results are so good, I'm not even tempted to use a flat iron after. Smooth + volume is pretty much my hair holy grail, so I love this hairdryer!!

Best in the game

Truly the best blow dryer out there. It’s the perfect size. Small and light but doesn’t feel light or look cheap. Plus, it’s easily packable. My hair felt (and looked) so healthy and smooth. The price is steep, but you are paying for quality here!

Better than the Supersonic

Obsessed with this hairdryer! I’ve tried several dryers, and eventually bought the Dyson Supersonic. I was so disappointed. It left my hair super dry. I gave it to my mom and she tried it and immediately agreed. So when I tried this dryer from ghd, I was skeptical. But then I was BLOWN away (pun intended). This drys my hair so quickly (and the power with the attached nozzle is insane)! My hair looks healthier and shinier, I cannot recommend this enough!

I just got to try this hair dryer complimentary through Influenster and I love it. My hair tends to frizz, but with this I was able to get volume without the frizz. It’s also pretty lightweight, which I love. Highly recommend.
