Farewell Frizz™ Smoothing Conditioner

caused roughness, dryness, dullness & bad tangles

My hair is thin/fine, never color treated, naturally straight (though climate-dependent lol) and very long. The formula is watery, appearing gentle, with very little lather (which is expected of sulfate free shampoos). Scent is insignificant. For context, I focus mostly on shampooing my scalp in order to protect my ends. I had to lather twice in separate parts of my head because the top would not spread to the bottom very well. Again, that's kinda expected. The reason I give this 1/5 is because this made my hair very dry, rough, and frizzy; as though I used a cheap, damaging product. It causes my hair to be more prone to frequent tangling as well, despite having paired it with a generous amount of their conditioner. The tangles are pretty hard to brush out which is also a new issue for me. And usually I can get away without needing to straighten my hair at all and have it almost perfectly straight after a shower, but this one made some parts of my head a bit wavy in random places. *Currently the climate is favorable to my hair and that was an unexpected result. I liked the idea of a shampoo that promises to defrizz but in the end, something that's more moisturizing would do the trick much better. I will continue using a drugstore brand to save my hair. I'm quite surprised to learn that cost isn't correlated with quality and wish I didn't experiment like this. My hair used to be very soft and after using this shampoo one time, it was left feeling very harsh. I did foolishly give this a chance 3x thinking maybe my strands just needed to adjust, but each result was the same. Despite all this dryness, my scalp was back to being oily in just two days (no heavy physical labor) and the ends continued to feel dry. Hope this helps!

unlike the shampoo this is a great conditioner that smells nice and makes hair feel soft i would re purchase the conditioner but not the shampoo

Nothing special

Didn't love the Smoothing Conditioner -- and it didn't do anything positively different compared to other products. After rinsing, hair was not smooth whatsoever. When styling, it seemed like there was a coating on my hair and it felt dry. Compared to the other Briogeo conditioner (which is very rich and can be too heavy for regular use), this one didn't do anything special.

Great for all hair types

I Love this product! I have straight hair and it really helps to calm down any fizziness. My boyfriend has curly hair and he said this is the best condition he has ever used! And it smells amazing!

gave me a bad reaction

paired with the shampoo this product gave me a rash on my face, ears, and neck

horrible

i feel like it doesn’t wash my hair very well, leaves me feeling with my hair dirty and greasy. it also caused me to break out in my face, neck and chest area.

Wish it still came in 1000ml

Love this product, upset it isn’t available in the 1000ml size anymore. I have extremely long hair and buying it in small bottles isn’t economical or environmentally considerate.

Frizz Free

After using this product, it has help my fizziness so much, that I don’t have to use other frizz free products! 10/10

I’ve been using this product for the past few months and my hair has never looked better! I have straight hair that tends to get frizzy with the heat and drying. This conditioner has completely got rid of all my frizz!

Yucky Smell

I suppose it did take the frizz away, but my hair is much greasier now. My second day hair looks like I haven’t washed it in five days. However, the worst part is the smell. It smells like something synthetic that’s been burned—like burnt rubber or plastic. I wish I had thought to smell it before purchasing. Bummed out I wasted the money.

Get the shampoo and conditioner

The combination of this and the shampoo was made my curly wild hair a lot tamer! I have very thin and long hair which gets super frizzy but I love this combo so much. Will purchase again. Only negative is that I don’t think this conditioner is enough by itself twice a week I use a deep conditioner and if I wasn’t using this shampoo I don’t think the conditioner would be as good

Amazing

Another amazing product from Briogeo!!! I’ve tried almost all their products and always impressed by how beautiful they make my hair! Normally my strands are rather dull, frizzy, and dry. This conditioner not only takes the frizziness but adds healthy shine and softness even on the first use! My 11 year son even sneaks in my shower to use this because it makes his hair feel soft like a cat….his words. This is a huge win cause kids can be a pain when it comes to hygiene!
