At The Barber's - Eau De Toilette

Certainly good, but…

I prefer “clean” smells to overwhelming typical cologne smells. I do like this, but it’s a lot of money to smell like you just shaved. It legitimately should be called “generic shaving cream Boise 2013” as opposed to something from a long ago Europe. That said, I do like it. For a fraction of the cost and a possibly more nostalgic barber shop vibe, try Pinaud Clubman aftershave. It’s gets me “it reminds me of my dad/ father” comments a lot. I think that’s what they were going for with this one.

Nostalgic

This smells exactly how I remember my grandpa smelling when I was growing up. Yes it’s more of a masculine scent but not too cologne-y. It is so nostalgic and comforting to me. I got this as a mini in the replica trial set and this is my favorite one so far other than Beach Walk that I already owned and love.

Great fragrance.

Even though I haven't received the full size bottle yet, I had a sample of it. It is the best smell. It smells like a combination of soap & shaving cream. I love it!

One of my husband's signature scents. I'm always looking for scents I think he'd like, so I got him a little travel sized spray of this one. This was months ago and he is NURSING that bad boy! He loves the fresh, clean fragrance of it, and to me it smells so nice with his body chemistry. it smells so good in the bottle and after it's been on the skin. it's good enough I'm considering bucking up and getting him a full sized bottle for his birthday!

I received a sample. It is a long-lasting fragrance, but I do not like the scent. It reminds me of an off-brand Chanel 5.

Signature scent, artful blend

Constantly surprised that At the Barber's is not a more popular fragrance in the Replica line. While it may depart from a typical Aromatic Fougere in its capture of the physical space of a Spanish barbershop, it hits its target perfectly! This is classy and highly refined. The basil note in the opening is a unique aromatic that is backed and artistically mixed with bitter orange and lavender notes. I love how the fragrance dries down into a musky, soft, creamy scent that blends with your body chemistry. That being the case, this is not a super loud fragrance (office safe). But it does make it extremely versatile. I wear it to work when I want to feel a little more refined or out to date night - both feel appropriate. While it is definitely accessible as a designer fragrance, it has the clarity and quality typically found in niche stylings. The journey through its wearing experience is absolutely worth it. Light but unbeatable scent.

I love this fragrance. It is a very masculine scent but I were it all the time as I don't really care for flowery or powdery smells of feminine fragrances. This smells clean. Like after shave from back in the day.

Boyfriend loves it but I don't.

I bought a sample size for my boyfriend and I don't love the scent. To me it smells like very generic cologne, and has a weird note to it that I don't love. However, he loves the smell of this and said it's one of his new favourites so it gets 3 stars.

So Fresh, So Clean

You've just emerged from the shower after lathering yourself with an artisanal soap. You smell divine and fresh and you're ready to take on the day. This is what "At the Barber's" smells like. As Outkast would say, "So fresh, so clean." I love unisex scents (Tom Ford Black Orchid, Replica Jazz Club, etc.) and this is one of my favorites. It has very strong lasting power, so it's not for the faint of heart - you'll still smell it at the end of the day, which is one of the things I love about it.

Crisp, cool, refined

Erring on the Floral side of masculine, Barber's is both clean, refreshing, and refined. I got this in the sample set, and will likely purchase a larger size. I was just able to smell it on my wrist after an eight hour work day. Despite being labeled as a 'male fragrance', it would be wonderful on a woman in the same way that a woman in a man's dress shirt could be devastatingly sexy. This comes only second to Sailing say as being my favorite Replica fragrance.

Refreshing, clean scent

I love this scent, it's a super clean, refreshing scent with moderate staying power. I think it's a very clean, conservative scent that men unfamiliar with colognes would enjoy using. Not overpowering and blends in well. No harsh tones at all.

Fresh & Masculine

A fresh and clean scent, smells very reminiscent of a visit post barber shop but dries down to a nice soft musk. It is mostly a fresh scent, but you do get wafts of leathery and earthy notes. I really like to wear this fragrance on a day I am feeling like wearing a more masculine fresh scent. Personally, I am not a huge fan of fresh aquatic scents so this gives me the satisfaction of a fresh scent without the notes of aqua I am not a fan of. Would recommend for those looking for a more masculine and fresh scent.
