Has lasted me years

This is a great flat iron. I’ve used it for years on my fine curly hair.

Not Great

This straightener makes my hair look so shiny and healthy… BUT it doesn’t hold the style for long. Within an hour the ends of my hair have started curling. I also always use my straighteners for curling my hair but I just couldn’t make this one work. The curls were flat and they didn’t last for more than 30 minutes. I wanted to like this because of how healthy my hair looked but for the price, they can do better.

Disappointed :(

I am so sad! A little over a year of using it, it just stopped working :( While it worked I had no problem, it left my hair looking and feeling amazing and soft... But paying almost 300$ for a straightener that will only last you a year is a real waste! Sephora said they can’t do anything for me and I have to contact GHD directly. So overall good product while it lasted but not worth it... I’ve had cheaper straightener that lasted me longer!

Better than what I expected.

I’m in love! I am Hispanic and have curly thick hair, and have purchase 2x the seductress by sultra (in 10 years) and I wanted something new and better. Decided to give this a try and I am very happy.

Doesn't work on thick hair

I was super excited to try it, but it wasn't what I expected. YES it does makes hair look silky and healthy, but if you goal make hair super straight (mine was) and have a lot of thick hair ( I do) it won't do any better than regular straighter from Walmart. However, for people with not a lot of hair or a lot of time for hair routine it's probably great choice, because it won't burn it.

New; NOT better....

This flatiron is such a disappointment... after less than a year, it has stopped working. But, even when it was working, it never fully straightened my hair, left it frizzy and full of static and just feels cheaply built. It is light and flimsy and performs in a similar manner. When it broke, I pulled out my older original model (which I kept as a back-up) and it actually worked better than this model ever had... so I just purchased the original model with gold plates --- that model is just awesome. I would caution anyone from buying this product. Very expensive; very poor performance. The lesson I learned? New is not always better ...

LOVE IT!!

I have alway purchased flat irons for under $100. Most of them were around $50. I was never completely happy with any of them. I decided to purchase the GHD Gold for my birthday this year. So glad I did. It’s perfect for my fine hair. Don’t have to figure out what temperature to use. It never feels too hot and it glides smoothly. It make my hair shiny and silky. Love it!

WORTH EVERY PENNY!! BUY IT NOW!!

Ive tried many straighteners out there and decided to finally purchase this and i am so happy that i did. My hair is very thick and frizzy!!! i always look forward to straighten my hair because this straightener always makes my hair so soft and shiny plus when i go outside it stays pin straight from the humidity. i also love how it does not damage my hair or smells like my hair is burnt after straightening like those other ones do. IM REALLY SATISFIED WITH THIS PRODUCT THANKS GHD!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I absolutely loooove this iron! It doesn't get too hot which I love and I was also able to straighten my hair in half the time it normally takes me so bonus!! It also doesn't make your hair smell like it's burning and leaves it with a crazy amount of shine!! I would 100% recommended investing in this amazing iron!!

Works amazing

Love love love this straightener, as for being a girl who was thick curly hair. This always leaves my hair feeling shiny and pin straight every time I use. Some people may not like having no heat setting, but for me personally I do like the feature. My hair never feels damaged after using this, I also find that it does not snag my hair either, so maybe other people who experience that issue with this straighter just have a different hair texture? Also with this straighter I find that I can just do one pass and it will make my hair pin straight. I am only giving this product four stars though because prior to buying this model, I did have the platinum styler by GHD and it broke very shortly. So I'm hoping with this model it will hold up for years and not a couple months.

Absolutely worth the price

This is an amazing straightener. My natural hair is wavy and although it’s not thick, I have a lot of hair. Which means frizz. Even then, I always get tons of compliments on my hair! This leaves my hair shiny and it works really quick. I’ve been a GHD gold user for 7+ years and I don’t see that changing. Expensive product but lasts a long time. Worth the price tag!
